FocusLab was started by high school student-athletes who built their own academic systems — and wanted to share them with every student struggling to keep up.
Neel Kapoor
Co-Founder · Basketball
Neel balances competitive basketball, robotics, and advanced coursework while developing AI-powered healthcare and sports technology projects, including research on detecting ACL injuries from MRI scans. As Vice President of Athletes for Kids, he mentors a student with special needs, and he coaches students on using digital calendars, effective study strategies, and time management to successfully balance academics, athletics, extracurriculars, and long-term goals.
Arjun Panpaliya
Co-Founder · Soccer
Arjun balances rigorous academics with competing internationally for the Surf Select National Team while leading FocusLab as a co-founder. He coaches students on organization, time management, and executive functioning strategies that help them become independent learners and successfully balance academics, athletics, and long-term goals.
