2. Description of Services
FocusLab Academic Coaching is a peer mentorship platform that connects grades 6–10 students with high school student-athlete mentors to develop academic skills including time management, organization, and study strategy. Our services include mentor matching, session scheduling, and progress tracking.
3. Eligibility
- Students must be enrolled in grades 6–10 and have parental or guardian consent to participate.
- Mentors must be high school student-athletes with a 3.7+ GPA and must complete FocusLab's application and onboarding process.
- Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring their child meets eligibility requirements and for supervising their child's participation.
4. User Responsibilities
All users agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration and use.
- Treat all other participants with respect and professionalism.
- Attend scheduled sessions or provide advance notice of cancellation.
- Not share account credentials with others.
- Not use the platform for any unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate purpose.
5. Mentor Conduct
Mentors are expected to uphold FocusLab's standards of academic coaching. Mentors must maintain their GPA requirements, act professionally in all sessions, and follow FocusLab's guidelines. FocusLab reserves the right to remove any mentor who does not meet these standards.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of FocusLab Academic Coaching and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. FocusLab does not guarantee specific academic outcomes or results from participation in the program. We strive to provide quality mentorship but cannot guarantee the performance of individual mentors or students.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FocusLab Academic Coaching shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for use of our services.
9. Termination
FocusLab reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account or access to our services at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms of Service. Users may also discontinue participation at any time by contacting us.
10. Changes to Terms
